Makes sense, Germans love towing shit. Most likely for a glider or trailer for IKEA trips.

There's photos of 911s who tow trailers with track wheel/tires on them floating around, so it totally is possible.

Seemingly so. Porsche don't actually recommend towing with a 911 but nonetheless people do.

Well, that is pretty damn surprising. I mean, I'm not surprised it has that tow rating in Europe, just that they haven't down rated it to between 0-1,000 lbs for America like everyone else.

Why would they down rate it for the U.S.? If it tows 3,500 lb. in Europe, it tows 3,500 lb. in the U.S.

All automakers publish lower tow ratings in the US than they do overseas. Mainly for liability reasons. Well, nearly all. We know know Porsche apparently doesn't.
